A community can only be as strong as the families that comprise it. Partners for Strong Families, a 501c³ not-for-profit organization, exist to raise awareness about the needs of the families in our communities and to ensure that every individual, couple, and family who wants help growing stronger can receive it regardless of their financial circumstances.

One way we purse this vision is through the Strong Families Scholarships. SFS’s are needs-based, sliding scale scholarship assistance for individuals, couples, and families seeking professional counseling services or life skills training.

SF Scholarship applicants complete a needs assessment interview with a certified financial coach who determines a scholarship level that will enable applicants to receive the help they seek. The financial coach also makes recommendations for addressing the applicant’s financial challenges and provides support for implementation.

Life is tough. It takes skills to navigate successfully. Some are lucky enough, it seems, to acquire most of what they need before leaving high school and launching into adulthood. For many it’s not so easy. Either life prematurely forces them to grow up or simply does not equip them with the necessary resources to do life well.

Life University is a cooperative effort in the community to provide life skills training to all who can benefit.
